About Shark Weekend

What is Shark Weekend?

Jump Down To The Characters | The Author

Shark Weekend is a web comic series based on my daughter’s artwork. One day, in 2025, she brought home paper artwork of two sharks. These images were so endearing that Shark Weekend’s characters are based on these characters. The original comic strip was designed for a school assignment a few months later.

The story centers on two characters, Mort and Bobo. Brothers who are growing up on the high seas. Their adventures are numerous, and curiosity always gets the best of them. You can find Mort and Bobo exploring, getting into trouble, and scaring humans. Even though they don’t mean to scare humans.

The Characters

Mort the Shark

Mort Mort is a strong-willed, curious shark always eager to explore. From finding sunken treasure, making new friends, or solving a mystery, Mort is always ready to find an adventure.

Adventure is defined: an exciting, unusual, and often risky undertaking or experience, involving unknown dangers, bold action, or a daring, hazardous experience.

'Everyday is a great day for adventure'
-Mort the Shark

Bobo the Shark

Bobo is Mort’s best friend and partner in mischief. Where you find Mort, you will also find Bobo. He is often less willing to take risks and, at times, can be the voice of reason.
